THE WORDS FOR TODAY ( GOOD CHARACTER PART TWO) (14/07/2020)
Text: 1 Samuel 25:25 ‘ Let not my Lord ,I pray thee, regard this man of Belial, even Nabal, for as his name is, so is he; Naval is his name, a folly is with him,: but I thine handmaid saw not the young men of my Lord, whom thou didst send.
MESSAGE
I said in my previous message that character is like smoke that cannot be covered. Good character always opens unusual doors for someone while bad character closes every good door against someone. Character smells and contagious.(1) Abigail’ had a good character as a woman who delivered Nabal her husband from being killed of David. (b) Nabal, for as his name is, so is he, Nabal is his name, and folly is with him. He was a deceitful, disrespectful, and folly is with him and was finally killed by God.( 1 Samuel 25:38)
(c) Cain senior brother to Abel, he murdered his blood brother through bad character .( Gen 4:8-9)
(d) Judas Iscariot also destroyed his life through covetousness, he sold his master our Saviour Jesus Christ.
GOOD CHARACTER THAT CAN OPEN EVERY CLOSED DOOR
(1)Be satisfied with what you have. Contentment is a great gain.
(2) Have the fear of God. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
(3) Be an integrity and transparent person.
(4) Treat people the way you want them to tread you.
(5) Embark on a journey of personal growth. It is when you are growing spiritually that you can overcome bad character.
(6) Daily crying unto the Lord to help you live godly in this present evil world.
PRAYER POINTS
(1) Blessed Reeder, let Your character be formed in me, in the name of Jesus
(2) Judas Iscariot lost it through bad character, help me O Lord with good character, in the name of Jesus.
(3) My Father, release upon me today good character, in the name of Jesus.
(4) Every good opportunities I had missed through bad character, today, let it be restored, in the name of Jesus.
(5) God killed Nabal because of his bad character, help me Lord to possess good character, in the name of Jesus.
(6) Bad character I had inherited from my parents, leave me today, in the name of Jesus
(7) Heavenly Father, visit me today with Your blessings, in the name of Jesus.
(8) Father, let today be resourceful and rewarded for me and my family, in the name of Jesus.
(9) Where is God of Elijah? Appear on my behalf today and open every closed door for me and my family, in the name of Jesus.
(10) Unexpected breakthroughs give me Lord, in the name of Jesus.
